Step by step

How to split a PDF

  1. Upload your PDF

Drop the PDF you want to break apart into the box above.

  2. Click Split PDF

Every page becomes its own single-page PDF file. A 12-page document produces 12 files.

  3. Download the ZIP

All pages arrive in one ZIP archive, numbered in order, so nothing gets lost or shuffled.

The case for it

Why split a PDF here?

Share only what's needed

Send page 3 of the contract, not the whole contract. Splitting lets you share exactly one page without exposing the rest.

Rebuild documents your way

Split a PDF into pages, then use our Merge tool to reassemble just the pages you want, in any order.

Numbered and orderly

Output files are numbered by page, so a split contract doesn't turn into a guessing game.

In memory, then gone

Your document is split in memory and deleted immediately. Free, no signup, no watermarks.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How exactly is the PDF split?

Each page becomes a separate single-page PDF. All of them are delivered together in one ZIP download, numbered in page order.

Can I extract a specific page range instead?

Range extraction (like pages 3–7 only) is coming. For now, split the whole document and keep the pages you need — or merge them back together with the Merge PDF tool.

Does splitting change the quality of pages?

No. Pages are copied out exactly as they are — same size, orientation, fonts and resolution.

How big can the PDF be?

Files up to 4 MB are supported.

Are my documents stored?

No. Splitting happens in memory and your file is deleted the moment the ZIP is ready.
