Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my PDF get?
It depends on what's inside. Scanned and image-heavy PDFs often shrink by 50–90%. Text-only PDFs are already efficient and may shrink only slightly.
Will my PDF still be readable?
Yes. Text stays perfectly sharp — it's vector data and isn't degraded. Images are resampled to a resolution that still looks good on screen.
Why did my file barely shrink?
If a PDF contains mostly text or already-compressed images, there's little left to squeeze. The tool never inflates a file — you just may not gain much.
What's the input size limit?
Currently 4 MB per file. Support for larger files is planned.
Is the original file kept anywhere?
No. It's compressed in memory and deleted the instant the smaller file is ready.
